“Loving Island Life” Bainbridge Performing Arts

This week, we at “Loving Island Life” want to share with you the vibrant performing arts scene on Bainbridge Island.  It is alive, creative, and it is thriving at Bainbridge Performing Arts!  From their website; “BPA originally was named “Bainbridge Light Opera”. The first musical production in 1956 was a hit and theatre on Bainbridge has never left. For 37 years, Bainbridge Performing Arts performed wherever they could – Timber Lodge, Commodore Middle School, North Kitsap auditorium, Bangor, a Circus tent on High School Road, and even a converted grocery store. The Playhouse was built in 1993 through a $1.2 million fundraising campaign. The facility boasts a 245-seat theater with professional sound and light.”  BPA hosts our Bainbridge Island Symphony, EDGE Improv, a variety of dance and music events, as well as showcasing the visual arts with a gallery and artists reception on First Friday Art Walk each month.

Check out their website for current and past events to see just how far performing arts on Bainbridge Island have come in the last 61 years.  If you have the acting bug, keep reading to learn about upcoming auditions!  Sign up for their newsletter here to have all the latest events sent to your email.
