The 4th of July celebration on Bainbridge Island is full of fun traditions! Enjoy shopping at the famous rummage sale, explore world-class art, peruse fairs, ogle vintage cars, watch baseball games, literally dance in the street, and enjoy an old-fashioned heart-warming Hometown Parade!

Friday, July 1st

First Friday Art Walk | Downtown Winslow Way | 5pm – 8pm

On the first Friday of every month, downtown Bainbridge Island’s Art Walk features galleries, studios, museums, shops, and restaurants showcasing the creative talent found in our growing art scene.

Moonlight Market |Town Square | 5pm-10pm

During First Friday Art Walk, visit Moonlight Market, a pop-up featuring more than 20 stalls of artists, makers, and cultural groups. Enjoy craft food, drinks, and music by DJ Sam Kelly Jr. 

Saturday, July 2nd

Rotary Auction & Rummage Sale |Woodward Middle School | 5pm – 8pm

Explore and shop over 6 acres filled with garage sale items, with all net proceeds going back to the local community! Unique finds and amazing bargains are sure to be found!

Bainbridge Island Farmers Market | Town Square | 10am – 2pm

The Bainbridge Island Farmers Market hosts over 40 local vendors, including farmers, food vendors, and crafters with artisan-made goods. Check out a full list of current market vendors here.

Chris Kattan – Coming Home Show | Lynwood Theater | 7pm – 8:30pm

Chris Kattan was BHS Class Clown of 1989 but is now best known as one of the longest-serving cast members on NBC’s ‘Saturday Night Live.’ Opening for Chris is Seattle-based Comedian Derek Sheen!

Sunday, July 3rd

Stars & Strikes “Old Timers Game” | BHS Baseball Fields | 12pm

The “Old Timer’s” Baseball Game is a 4th of July tradition with proceeds benefiting the BHS team. Alumni Players put on a spirited game for the community.

Street Dance | Winslow Way | 6pm – 11pm

There will be dancing in the streets! The lineup includes High Voltage, Ocean Men, and Waiting on V!

Street Fair | Winslow Way | 6pm – 11pm

Take a break between dances and enjoy offerings from food vendors and trucks!

Beer & Wine Garden | Winslow Way | 6pm – 11pm

Visit the Beer & Wine Garden, near the Street Dance stage, to grab a drink from Bainbridge Brewing and Fletcher Bay Winery!

Kids Zone | Winslow Way | 6pm – 9pm

Bring your kids to the KidZone! Sponsored by the children’s museum, KiDiMu! Kids will enjoy beading 4th of July necklaces, go head-to-head in giant Connect 4, build with giant blue blocks, hula hoop the night away, and more!

Monday, July 4th

Pancake Breakfast | T&C Parking Lot | 8am – 2pm

Enjoy fresh pancakes to get your Fourth of July day started right!

BYS Family Fun Run | Island Fitness Parking Lot | 9am – 11am

After two years of running on your own, the BYS Fun Run is back in person! An island tradition for 43 years! All your favorites are back: the 5K, the 1 Mile, and the Kids Dash for kids 7 and under.

Car Show | Columbia Bank | 9am – 1pm

There’s always an eclectic mix of classics, rods, foreign, motorcycles, military, and oddball—cars and trucks in any condition! The show is on Bjune Drive in the parking lots behind Columbia Bank and Chase Bank.

Grand Old Fourth Street Fair | BJune Dr & Brien Dr | 9am – 5pm

The Street Fair portion of the festival will be held three blocks from the Ferry Terminal on Brien and Bjune Drives in downtown Bainbridge Island. With approximately 110 booth full of arts and crafts, food, information, nonprofit organizations, children’s games, and amusements. The Grand Old Fourth street fair is known for its quality hand-made goods!

Live Music | T&C Parking Lot | 10 am – 5 pm

Live music above Bjune Drive in the T&C parking lot will entertain and delight throughout the day while enjoying the Car Show, Street Fair vendors, and Beer & Wine Garden.

Beer & Wine Garden | Waterfront Park | 11am – 5pm

Enjoy beer from local vendors, Bainbridge Brewing and Eleven winery!

Grand Old Fourth Hometown Parade | Madison Ave & Winslow Way | 1pm – 3pm

Join the mile-long Grand Old Fourth Hometown Parade. There are typically over 100 participants that are sure to keep you entertained!

Kid Zone | Waterfront Park | 9am – 5pm

Bring your kids to the Kid Zone for fun activities sponsored by The Marshall Suites.
