“Loving Island Life” Spring Ahead!

Three cyclists ride past a large American flag painted on a white barn, with rows of red and purple flowers in the foreground.

Spring is bursting out all over Bainbridge Island, and we at “Loving Island Life” are ready for the longer, warmer days.  We’ve enjoyed the restful coziness of winter on the island, and now we are ready to embark on a new season.  We’re gradually seeing more homes coming on the market, and we are looking forward to a very active real estate market this year.

Daylight savings ends this Sunday, so don’t forget to set your clocks ahead one hour on Saturday night. What perfect timing!  With the abundant sunshine we are having lately, it’s time to get outside and enjoy the long days on the trails, beaches, and parks of our lovely island.

If the great outdoors isn’t your thing, Artwalk is this Friday, March 6th.  The galleries have been showing some really wonderful artists this year.  This week, the Bainbridge Island Museum of Art has selected images of renowned photographer Raymond Gendreau on display.  You can read about this talented artist in this article in the  Bainbridge Review.

Don’t forget to check out the Intentional Table’s March calendar for all of the fun classes and events going on there.  It’s always fun, and always delicious!

For more indoor fun, The Green Muse Open Mic returns to Pegasus Coffee House from 8 to 10 p.m. Tuesday nights (except the first Tuesday of the month). The open mic is open to musicians, comics, storytellers, poets and anybody else who wants to use the microphone.

Hope to see you all out and about!
