“Loving Island Life” Jake’s Pickup

One of the reasons we are “Loving Island Life” this summer is with everyone out and about you get to meet some really terrific people with REALLY innovative ideas.  Today I got to meet Jacob Angel and hisbeautiful wife Kristi.  They are the owners and proprietors of Jake’s Pickup, a gourmet, “mostly” organic fast food eatery located in the Chevron station on High School Road.  That’s right, you heard it correctly, Organic/Gourmet Sustainable Fast Food located inside the Chevron Station.  What a concept! You will be impressed to know that Jake has an extensive resume’ as an award winning Chef, the details are on their website at www.jakespickup.com.  You owe it to yourself to stop in and try his breakfast, lunch, dinner, and sweet treat offerings.  I have worked my way through about 25% of the menu and everything has been Outstanding!   I am not kidding here, his food is all prepared in house including the baked items. The next time you find yourself running for the ferry, work, school etc. and need a little Pickup stop in to Jake’s.  The world would be a better place and folks would be a lot healthier and happier with a Jake’s Pickup’s at every gas station in the land.  This is Most Definitely a “Loving Island Life” kind of place!
