“Loving Island Life” Bainbridge Island Museum of Art

A pedestrian signal showing a walking figure overlaps with the word "art" in yellow letters. The signal is covered by a wire mesh.

Welcome to October on beautiful Bainbridge Island! We at “Loving Island Life” hope you are enjoying the cool days and bright colors of autumn. It’s a special, peaceful time on the island. With kids back in school and everyone thinking ahead to the holiday season, October is the perfect time to take a breath, catch up with friends, and enjoy some of the local activities that make island living so charming.

Let’s start with First Friday Art Walk!

Downtown Winslow, Bainbridge Island
Friday, October 7, 6-8 PM

Always a great time, head to Downtown Winslow for an evening of art, food, and friends! Art Walk features businesses that are either featuring an art exhibit or are offering small bites on their menus. Venues include the downtown Winslow galleries, Bainbridge Library & Marge Williams Center. Bainbridge Arts & Crafts features works in textiles, fibers and paper. This Friday, enjoy the Anne Pell Jazz Ensemble featuring Bill Smith in a Special Performance at Island Gallery. Refreshments served at most venues. A number of local restaurants join the monthly event, offering small plates and weekend specials, and it’s an easy walk from the ferry.
