“Loving Island Life” Happy Easter!

A variety of brightly colored, patterned Easter eggs are grouped together.

Jelly beans and colored eggs and chocolate bunnies, oh my!! It’s just about Easter on Bainbridge Island, and we at “Loving Island Life” want to make sure you don’t miss out on the fun family activities and good food this weekend. Keep reading for the low-down on the fabulous events that our awesome BI Parks put together, as well as a list of some local restaurants that will be serving brunch, we want the cook in your house to have a fun and relaxing day, too!

Egg Scrambles!!

Egg hunters of all ages will find treats for their baskets at the annual Spring Egg Scrambles where specially marked “prize” eggs will earn their finders an additional surprise! Scrambling rain or shine.

Teen Flashlight Egg Hunt Friday, April 3
For Teens ages 13-18. Meet at the Battle Point Park shelter at 9:00pm. Check the details on page 27! Meet at the Teen Center if rain.

Traditional Egg Hunt at Battle Point Park, Saturday, April 4
Starting at 10:00am, children ages 1–12 can visit with our big bunny for photos, pet little bunnies in the 4-H petting area, chalk the sidewalk, and scramble for treats in an area of Battle Point Park designated just for their age group. ALL HUNTS BEGIN PROMPTLY AT 11:00AM.

Wet & Wild Egg Hunt at the Pool Saturday, April 4
Later that day, children ages 2-12 can change into their swimming suits and seek eggs throughout the Aquatic Center at the Wet & Wild Egg Hunt. $6 fee includes Open Swim time. Staggered start times will ensure fun and fairness for all age groups.
1:00pm ages 2-5, 1:15p ages 6-7, 1:30p ages 8-9, 1:45p ages 10-12. Swim begins at 2:00p; all hunters must remain on deck until then. Parents are required be in the water and stay within arm’s reach of children under age 7.

Weekend Geo-Hunt, Saturday and Sunday, April 4-5
Crowds not your style? Folks with GPS units can try their hand at simple geo-caching in our GEO Egg Hunt. Coordinates posted at 9:00am Saturday, April 4 at www.biparks.org.
