April showers have brought May flowers to Bainbridge Island! As the weather warms up more events pop up within our community! This month you can enjoy the farmers market, Trivia at Bainbridge Brewing, Oysters at Eleven Winery, and more! 

Saturdays, 10am – 2pm | Bainbridge Island Farmers Market

With more than 40 local vendors, including farmersfood vendors, and crafters with artisan-made goods, there is something for everyone at the Bainbridge Island Farmers Market! Visit the open-air market every Saturday from 10am – 2pm, April through November (rain or shine!) in the Town Square by City Hall.

Thursdays, 7 – 9pm | Trivia Night at Bainbridge Brewing Alehouse

Every Thursday, join Bainbridge Brewing for Trivia Night at the Taproom! Trivia is free to play, teams can range in size from 1 – 8 people, and prizes will be awarded to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place finishers each night! It is recommended to arrive before 6:30pm to get seats for you and your team, as games tend to fill up fast!

May 5, 6 – 8pm | First Friday Artwalk 

Stroll the streets of downtown and enjoy art, film, food, and community on the first Friday of every month. Bainbridge Island’s Art Walk features galleries, studios, museums, shops, and restaurants showcasing the creative talent of PNW artists.

May 5, 5 – 9pm | Moonlight Market

Moonlight Market is a family-friendly night market with 30+ booths featuring a mix of art, slow fashion, crafts, jewelry, and vintage items. Enjoy street tacos, sourdough pizza, local oysters, and a beer garden with a thoughtful selection of beer, wine & scratch margaritas.

May 6, 1 – 3pm | Sing Along & Sounds

Sing Along & Sounds is a magical introduction to live music for young children. Musical hosts Mike Derzon and Johnny Bregar invite children aged 0-6 years old and their families to explore music, sounds, and movement. The 35-minute concert will feature performances by professional musicians and sing-alongs for the family with an interactive element.

Do you have a young person you would like to introduce to fly fishing or have them get some practice in prior to heading out to fish this spring? Join BI Parks on Sunday, May 7, for the Youth Fly Fishing EXPO at Battle Point Park Pond.

May 9, 6:30 – 8pm | Free Gardening Classes at the Library

Learn everything gardening from beginner basics to specialized local resources for experienced growers. This month, learn how to recognize beneficial insects, attract pollinators and predators, to discourage pests, and control diseases for a better garden.

The Ravine Art Fair is the perfect place to celebrate Mother’s Day weekend! This historic outdoor event space provides a beautiful backdrop for strolling among artists and vendors selling fine art, jewelry, gifts, and flowers.

May 19, 8 – 10:30pm | BIRC Teen Nights

The Bainbridge Island Recreation Center will host a 2.5-hour event for local high school-age teens! The gym will be open for basketball, volleyball, pickleball, ping-pong, and tennis. Other activities may include laser tag, giant human soccer games, and cornhole. For a more relaxed evening, enjoy a snack while creating some art in our Teen Night studio, and play cards or board games with friends, old and new!

May 26, 4 – 7pm | Salish Sea Greens Oyster Bar Pop-Up

Grab a glass of wine at Eleven Winery and join Salish Sea Greens as they shuck some of the finest oysters the Puget Sound has to offer. Their oyster bar is complete with all the fixings, including kelp mignonette, lemon, and Tabasco.
