“Loving Island Life” B.I.BBQ

This week’s “Loving Island Life” Blog features Bainbridge Island BBQ.  Yep, that’s right you read that correctly, world class barbeque located on this idyllic island just across Puget Sound from downtown Seattle.  The “Pit Boss,” owner and Bainbridge Island native Gregory Epstein has come a long way. It began a few years ago, when Epstein transitioned from a more standard culinary career as an Executive Chef to the world of Barbeque on Bainbridge Island.  Greg loves to be creative using a variety of woods on the smoker and various flavors and food pairings to come up with his unique style.  Greg offers three different Barbeque sauces that include the mild “Whiskey Brown Sugar” (Rich full bodied sweet style). The medium “Chipotle Honey” (A little bit of heat with a smoky start and tangy finish) and my favorite the “Bainbridge Habanero” (Hints of cinnamon, ginger, and zinfandel).  He has all of the standard barbeque fare plus a few of his unique creations such as the “Smoked Runbensky” and the “Bork,” a combination of pulled pork and beef.  You can find Greg and his lovely wife Carmen there most days, and of course their son Jazz when he’s not in school.  You will not meet a nicer family anywhere.  So stop in, bring your bib and settle in for some “Serious Barbeque.”   I promise you will be  “Loving Island Life” after your first bite!

This week’s update for the Bainbridge Island Real Estate Agents Broker’s Tour added five new homes to the market.  The first home on the tour was a 2 bedroom 1.75 bath located in the Battle Point area with a unique architectural design.  The next was a small waterfront cabin in the same neighborhood with Big views.  We then moved on to a terrific family home in the Sunrise area with outstanding views toward Seattle.  A family home in Northtown Woods just became available, as well a terrific 3 bedroom two bath located in the Rolling Bay neighborhood.  For a complete list of new homes to the market, or waterfront and luxury homes visit www.homesforsaleonbainbridgeisland.com.
