“Loving Island Life” Bainbridge Island MS Walk

“Loving Island Life” is easy with so many fun and worthwhile activities to participate in.  Here are some things you may want to take part in this week!  First, you can support a worthy cause and have fun with your friends by supporting the annual MS Walk.  Then, the farmers are back!! With glorious fresh local produce for your springtime menus!  Need to spice up your ferry commute?  Did you know there’s a book group you can participate in?  Yep, see below for details.  Fun awaits our littlest islanders and their parents and care givers with social/play time at miniMu at the Kids Discovery Museum.  Hope to see you all out enjoying April on Bainbridge Island!

Support your local farmers!! 

The 2015 Farmers Market season begins on Saturday April 11 at 9am!  Opening Day festivities will include the Annual Cheese Toss with Mayor Anne Blair and City Manager Dough Schultze.  Our Farmer Vendor stands are bursting with flavors of Spring.

There will also be live music, and grab one of the new Farmers Market T-Shirts for sale as a fundraiser for the Market!  Make the Farmer’s Market part of your Saturday routine and we’ll look forward to seeing you there!

Event Description: Find a supportive community and connect with your child in the welcoming space of Kids Discovery Museum! Children, from birth through 18 months, and their parents or caregivers are invited for a new bi-weekly program. Meet other new parents and babies to share experiences, play together and learn from one another. Enjoy exploration, special programs and enrichment activities before KiDiMu opens to the general public. At the first session, the grown-ups will choose a topic to discuss and enjoy coffee courtesy of Starbucks, and their little explorers will have fun with mat play.
