“Loving Island Life” Bruciato Bainbridge Island

A paper with the text "bruciato forno a legna . fatto a mano" placed on a wooden surface.

We at “Loving Island Life” love to eat, but we are pretty picky about how we spend our calories. We are very happy to let you all know that Chef Brendan McGill of the beloved Hitchcock’s has done it again with his newest Bainbridge Island restaurant, Bruciato, a Neapolitan pizzeria!

Bruciato is located at 236 Winslow Way, also known as the old hardware store. You can find hours of operation and their menu, which has a lot more than just pizza, on their website. I can personally attest that the Salame pizza is heavenly and the roasted vegetables are delicious! You’ll also find octopus, tripe, and clams all cooked to perfection in the wood-fired oven which was imported from Italy. Many of their toppings are cured at Hitchcock’s Deli or are locally harvested.

A man is preparing food on a marble countertop in a kitchen with various ingredients in metal bowls. Behind him is a large, tiled pizza oven with visible fire. A stack of firewood is in the background.

If the address sounds familiar, it’s because they are right next door to our Sotheby’s office, and yes, we will all be renewing our gym memberships! Their bar is stocked with American and Italian spirits, wine, and beer. There are plans to add breakfast and lunch, so check in with them on Facebook or their website for updates on that. The votes are in, and Bruciato is definitely a “Loving Island Life kind of place!
