“Loving Island Life” Grand Old Fourth

A vibrant display of various colorful fireworks illuminating a dark sky with bursts of red, blue, green, and gold patterns and shapes.

Summer has officially arrived, and we are “Loving Island Life” in a big way with long days, warm weather, and good times with family and friends.  Bainbridge Islanders LOVE a street party, and the best of the year is The Grand Old 4th of July!  In its 47th year, it is an island event that is attended by locals and visitors from all around Kitsap,  King counties and beyond.  Don’t miss the pancake breakfast, street fair, and Classic Car Show.  The mile long parade starts at 1:00 pm, and you can end the perfect day at dusk with fireworks over Eagle Harbor.  For a complete schedule of the day’s events, and a link to the fireworks website, check [email protected].

A group of people in matching shirts holds up a large American flag, parading along a street lined with spectators.
A yellow sign with black text reads "WELCOME TO BAINBRIDGE." Blue handprint decorations are visible along the bottom edge of the sign.
Two children wearing 4th of July-themed accessories wave from a decorated float in a parade, surrounded by patriotic decorations and an inflatable figure in the background.

Locals know that the fun actually begins on July 3rd with a Street Dance on our main street, Winslow Way.  From 6 – 11 pm there will be live music, as well as a DJ, delicious food, a beer garden, and lots of dancing.  Come on down and show off your moves!
