“Loving Island Life” Start of Summer!

We are, indeed, “Loving Island Life” as we wrap up a gloriously sunny and warm fourth of July weekend.  Bainbridge Island certainly knows how to celebrate, and what fun it has been to see everyone from tiny tots to teenagers and older adults out mingling, dancing, laughing and generally having a great time together.

At the July 3rd Street Party on Winslow Way, the live band had everyone swinging and swaying to their music, and the DJ up the street knew just what to play to get the kids out bopping up and down with hands in the air.  The ever popular and multi generational “YMCA” had the older folks laughing, and the little ones looking confused but trying to follow along, with all ages joining in!  What ever happened to the Macarena?

The weather could not have been better for the Grand Old 4th Parade, the car show, and the street fair.  Crowds of tourists and locals enjoyed a wide variety of food and entertainment throughout the day.  The fireworks, as always, were spectacular.

We hope you had a safe and happy 4th with friends and family and hope to see you around the island in the fine summer days ahead.
