Welcome to the vibrant summer season on Bainbridge Island, where the community spirit shines brightly and there’s no shortage of events to enjoy.

Grand Old 4th of July

As it has since 1967, Bainbridge Island will celebrate July 4th with multiple overlapping events taking over downtown Winslow and Waterfront Park from 7am until 5pm.

Kicking off with the traditional Pancake Breakfast, the day will include the BYS Fun Run, Car Show, Street Fair, Kid’s Zone, Beer & Wine Garden, Live Music Stage, and of course, the mile-long Hometown Parade.

Bainbridge Island Farmers Market | Every Saturday, 10:00 am – 2:00 pm

Immerse yourself in the vibrant atmosphere of the Bainbridge Island Farmers Market. Whether you’re in search of locally grown produce, handmade crafts, or simply want to enjoy live music, this market has it all. Chat with local vendors, savor delicious treats, and experience the true essence of community spirit.

Moonlight Market | First Friday 5-9pm 

Moonlight Market is a fun family-friendly night market. Enjoy music, craft food, and drinks while exploring more than 30 market booths. The market is located on the Bainbridge Island Lawn at City Hall

Rotary Auction & Rummage Sale, July 6

This community event by the Bainbridge Rotary offers a treasure trove of vintage finds. Every summer, The Rotary Club takes over Woodward Middle School’s campus where they set up classrooms and tents, accept drive-through donations for several days, and then sort, clean, test, price, and display those donations. In 2023 they earned over $800,000, the net proceeds of which will go back into the community through grants and scholarships.

The Summer Studio Tour is a celebration of the beauty and craftsmanship of local, handmade art on Bainbridge Island, Washington. Enjoy this free, self-guided art show that showcases the artistic talent of the community.

Movies in the Park | Fridays in August, 8pm 

A favorite summer tradition presented by Bainbridge Island Metro Parks & Recreation Department. Bring a blanket or lawn chair and enjoy different films each week.Pre-movie fun begins at 8pm, movie begins 30 minuets after sunset.
