“Loving Island Life” The Pan d’Amore Artisan Bakery

11/3/11

This week the Bainbridge Island Real Estate Brokers Tour introduced five new homes and condos for sale on Bainbridge Island.  The first home toured was a Bainbridge Island waterfront mid-century rambler.  It is high bank with exceptional views.  Lots of wood trim and exposed beams reflecting a true original Bainbridge Island waterfront getaway.  The next two properties were an in town condo and a beautiful Northwest Contemporary located on the eighth fairway at Meadomeer Golf course.  The Meadowmeer home was represented by Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty on Bainbridge Island.  It was beautifully staged, accurately priced and went “Pending” in just a few day’s!  Nice job Bainbridge Island Sotheby’s Realty!  The last two listings viewed on the Bainbridge Island Real Estate tour include a clean and crisp Fort Ward family home at a great price, and a Battle Point Craftsman with a cute guesthouse that rents for $900 per month.   For more detailed information be sure to go to homes for sale on Bainbridge Island and click on the “New Last 3 Days.”

blankThis week the Bainbridge Island Real Estate Brokers Tour introduced five new homes and condos for sale on Bainbridge Island.  These include a large mid-island Meadomeer home that has been extensively remodeled with lots of space both inside and out, and a Fort Ward Craftsman (perfect for raising a family) with a covered wrap around porch, as well as an in-town Madrone Village Condo and a townhome located in the peaceful setting of Place Eighteen.  One noteworthy comment for this week is three over $1,000,000 waterfront listings have gone pending in the last 7 days.  For more information check out Homes For Sale On Bainbridge Island.

This weeks “Loving Island Life” blog features the Historic Lynwood Center Theatre.   Edna & Emanuel Olson, a hard-working couple who lived in the Tudor-style house on the hill overlooking Lynwood Theater, built the structure known as Lynwood Center and opened the Island’s first “talking picture”  Theatre.  The Lynwood Theatre opened with much fanfare on July 3, 1936 with the musical comedies TIMES SQUARE PLAYBOY and SHE COULDN’T TAKE IT with George Raft and Billie Burke.  The theatre has been consistently updated and now is a historic treasure to Island visitors and residents alike.

This week’s Bainbridge Island Real Estate Broker’s Tour added only three homes and one townhome to our inventory.  The first is a waterfront estate located on Crystal Springs Drive.  It is reminiscent of an East Coast Lodge complete with swimming pool and dock.  This home has been in the same family for 60 years!  The other homes for sale on Bainbridge Island were a 1942 Naval Officers home that was barged over from Seattle in 1982.  It has lots of character and is located in Eagledale with filtered views of Seattle and Eagle Harbor.  The last home is a large Rolling Bay home recently updated and in immaculate condition.  To round out this week’s tour was an in-town townhome tastefully decorated and conveniently located.

This weblankeks “Loving Island Life” blog features The Four Swallows Restaurant.  It is located in town on Madison Ave in the Historic William Grow House built in 1889.  The Four Swallows Restaurant is truly a treasure to Bainbridge Island.  The menu has an Italian influence utilizing the best and freshest ingredients the Pacific Northwest has to offer.  There is an extensive wine list and they will soon be offering premium liquor as well.  The food is amazing and the service extraordinary.  I rate this as 5 stars!  The Four Swallows is a Bainbridge Island Icon and is worth the trip from anywhere and is a terrific way to experience “Loving Island Life.”
