“Loving Island Life” Welcome 2016
The first week of the 2016 has been very active here at “Loving Island Life!” The word is out about what a great place this is to live, and we have had lots of interest from people wanting to buy on Bainbridge Island. With only 55 currently active residential listings on the island in any price range, it’s challenging to help people find the home of their dreams. On the other hand, if you or someone you know is thinking about waiting until spring to put your house on the market, you might want to think about listing it sooner, while supply and competition are low. As always, our team would love to help with any of your real estate needs.
Has your week been active, too? If you’re looking for a fun way to kick off your weekend, Art Walk is this Friday. That’s right, you didn’t miss it! Since this month’s first Friday was New Year’s Day, Art Walk was postponed until January 8th, and it’s such a fun place to meet with friends, or make new ones! Hours are from 6 pm – 8 pm.
Bainbridge Public Library will host the January Art Walk. On exhibit at the library will be Stephen Hubbard and Deliah Albee, father / daughter watercolors and photographs.
Other Participating Galleries are Bainbridge Arts & Crafts, Bainbridge Homes, Roby King and Island Gallery.
Have you been to Island Vintner’s lately? Paul Bianchi, owner of Amelia Wynn winery, has given the venue a fresh new update and it’s a cozy and friendly place to meet with friends for wine tasting. They are located at 450 Winslow Way. Karen’s favorite Amelia Wynn wine, Aragon, will be available for tasting this Friday during Art Walk. This from Paul: “We are happy to announce that the 2013 Aragon will be released this Friday evening during the 1st Friday Art Walk. Complimentary pours will be offered. The 2013 Aragon differs from the 2012 vintage in that it is 100% Grenache Noir. Grapes were sourced from the same Six Prong Vineyard in Horse Heaven Hills AVA. I hope to see you this Friday!”
Island Vintners also has wines from Fletcher Bay Winery. These two wineries are run by passionate winemakers who create artisanal, small-run batches of the highest quality wine. These are greatly prized wines that are rarely if ever found in your grocery wine section. Find out more about Island Vintners at the Island Vintners website.
We hope your year is off to a great start, and we’ll hope to see you out enjoying all this beautiful island has to offer!
